Food Safety Plan

In compliance with the current FSMA regulations and industry standards, World Spice’s facility operates under a Third Party Certified Food Safety Plan which includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Hazard Analysis
  • Process Preventive Controls
  • Food Allergen Preventive Controls
  • Sanitation Preventive Controls
  • Supply Chain Preventive Controls
  • Recall Plan
  • Routine Third Party Inspections

MICROBIAL CONTROLS

As an additional step of precaution and prevention, all World Spice products are microbial treated. The following FDA approved methods of treatment are utilized:

  • Ethylene Oxide & Propylene Oxide – These treatments use a fumigant gas to ensure the elimination of harmful pathogens like E-Coli and Salmonella.
  • Irradiation – Food irradiation (the application of ionizing radiation to food) is a technology that improves the safety and extends the shelf life of foods by reducing or eliminating microorganisms and insects.

In addition, each lot is retested by an outside third party ISO certified laboratory. Lot specific COA’s are available upon request with each shipment.
